Septic tank aerator

In the past, septic tanks weren’t called VERY useful although they take care of wastewater coming out of your toilet.

Many people will tell you to avoid having septic tanks because they also think they bring problems to the property, which is quite wrong. If you maintain it properly, there’s no reason for a septic tank to bring problems to your property.

Before I explain it you what an aerator is, you need to know that, in a septic system, two types of bacteria process waste, one is aerobic and the other one anaerobic. The anaerobic bacteria are what you will find in a septic tank most of the time since the aerobic needs oxygen, but they are more effective than anaerobic bacteria.

Now that you know this, an aerator helps your septic tank to process the wastewater faster and more effectively since it pumps air or oxygen to the tank. I told you before that anaerobic bacteria need oxygen, which is exactly what an aerator adds to the septic tank. This means it will work even 20 times better since the presence of aerobic bacteria will flourish.
